The Air Academy Bands Program was founded in 1957.

Our groups perform in front of thousands of spectators throughout Colorado and the U.S. each year. In the 2017-18 season, over 60 million people around the world watched the band perform in the 2018 Rose Parade®!

Building musical and marching skills, learning self-discipline, building strong relationships and exhibiting excellent sportsmanship in a healthy atmosphere are hallmarks of our program. Relationships and skills students build in our program last well beyond their years at Air Academy.

Valued alumni parents and students, and members of the Colorado Springs community, continue to be sources of strength and support for our program and its graduates.

Air Academy’s Band Program also features nationally acclaimed jazz ensembles, award-winning concert bands, and a state champion winter guard program.
