WELCOME TO AIR ACADEMY BANDS!

The mission of the Air Academy High School Band Program is to provide a quality music education to all students.  Our objective is building quality by focusing on the individual performer. Concert bands, marching band, jazz bands, small ensembles, and solo experience leads to a well-rounded player. Additionally, through the band program, students will gain a sense of belonging, teamwork, time management, dedication, self-discipline, leadership, cooperation and responsibility. The relationships and skills students develop by participating in our bands last well beyond their years at Air Academy.

Air Academy High School has had a band since its opening in 1957. Beginning with less than 20 members, the Air Academy band program has grown into one of the most respected in the state of Colorado. Air Academy’s marching band has been a CBA State Finalist every year since 1989 and has been awarded as Colorado State Champions 13 times within the last two decades (see a list of our awards).

State-winning Winter Guard and Color Guard programs are also hosted by Air Academy Bands, as well as a Winter Percussion Ensemble.
